Has anyone configured VoiceRD version 1.6 and SugarCRM 4.5.1 to work correctly or have additional documentation on the configuration. I am not finding that information or a list of features that the integration provides.

I am one of the authors on the voicerd code. The OSS version provides outbound dialing from within Sugar. We have to rev versions every time SugarCRM does so we do not break each others code. Not much changes in our code base as it does what it is supposed to already.
There are groups that use our code in their product today like trixbox. We also produce asterisk management tools that are meant for larger sites. They have built in clustering and integrate with LDAP.
On the pro version there are some additional things like inbound call pop-ups via IM, instant note taking, call records recording, task scheduling and some other items that have been integrated with SugarCRM.
We are also finishing up the SugarCRM predictive dialer project and the call center manager (this will allow queue management and reports to be run out of Sugar that contain realtime data about calls.
