Right Way to Install & Run Asterisk in Linux Redhat 9.0

im newbie in linux and i want to use asterisk…so i just install redhat 9.0…

so i wanna some help here to install the asterisk in linux redhat 9.0
if can…step by step guide…ok…tq

You can also try precompiled Asterisk packages:
atrpms.net/dist/rh9/asterisk/
atrpms.net/dist/rh9/asterisk-addons/
(I didn’t use them, but seem ok).

Btw, If you’re “newbie in linux” why did you choose little outdate (and AFAIR not “supported”) RH distro?
You can try Fedora (fedora.redhat.com/) or some new RHEL (commercial).

Better yet, try CentOS 3. Exactly the same as RHEL 3 but free. RH9 works fine too. I’ve tried them all
