Hello, good day all, just wanted to know if the asterix system could run on windos OS? or you need to be in Linux or MAC OS
Some very old, no longer supported, versions have been ported to Windows. Running on Linux is strongly advised.
Also, Windows Asterisk ports will not support telephony hardware, so you wuld be limited to pure VoIP.
I would you only run Asterisk non Linux, for various reasons as you can see someone posted above the hardware is a great reason.
If you want to go the windows route look at something like 3cx but again I advise again this.
Asterisk is great especially in a Linux environment, stable, reliable and effective.
Hire a consultant or start reading.
