Okay so I got asterisk installed and I thought I had installed Zaptel properly. The problem is I cannot use the conference feature. I am trying to access the conferencing system via my polycom 601 sip phone. Now if I load up my *NOW box and repoint my SIP phones to it I can conference just fine. If I repoint to my * box it doesn’t work and I get the following errors in the msg log.
[May 30 14:27:55] WARNING[11090] chan_zap.c: Unable to open ‘/dev/zap/pseudo’: No such file or directory
[May 30 14:27:55] ERROR[11090] chan_zap.c: Unable to dup channel: No such file or directory
[May 30 14:27:55] WARNING[11090] app_meetme.c: Unable to open pseudo channel - trying device
[May 30 14:27:55] WARNING[11090] app_meetme.c: Unable to open pseudo device
I’ve looked all over and I cannot find any definitive answers on this. Is ZTDUMMY not working properly?
SOME INFO about my box:
Centos 4.4, Latest Asterisk 1.4.4 and latest zaptel 1.4.2.1 and the asterisk-gui.
Your help is GREATLY appreciated.
