Qualify = [value] dose not work ? always send every 60 sec

We are using asterisk 1.4.23.2 and have ATA device with the following setup -

type=friend
callerid=1234
nat=yes
port=5060
record_out=Adhoc
voicemail=No
qualify=30000
context=from-internal
host=dynamic
canreinvite=no
record_in=Adhoc
dtmfmode=rfc2833

The qualify = [value] does not seem to be effective. The option packet is always sent out at 60 seconds interval (whether the [value]=30000 / 90000). Is there something I missed, please advice.

Hi

You are not quite correct on the workings of qualify

the value is the time we expect a resonse in not the frequancy of the sent request. as you say it sends it every 60 seconds.

In 1.6 there is a qualifyfreq setting that sets that value
