Panasonic KX-T7736 Phones

I have an old Panasonic KX-TAW848 system that will eventually need replacement. I’d love to use the Panasonic proprietary KX-T7736B phones I have with Asterisk. Can anyone tell me how well they are supported? Function keys, etc.

The plan is to use them through one of the multi-port ethernet-connected FXS gateways out there.

Thanks for your help.

your plan will be fail as FXS port can not turn them on . If you pay attention the this model they have four-wire cables that just only work with PanaSonic Cards .

Thanks for the reply. It’s been awhile since I installed them. I thought they might be 2-wire with proprietary signalling. Unless someone knows otherwise, I guess these phones get discarded with the phone system and I go with IP phones.

You would need to know the model of your PBX unit. Panasonic does make IP interface cards for some of their PBX units. I’m not sure if it has to be what Panasonic calls a “Hybrid” system though.
