Newbie in trouble: GUI branch-2.0-r5187 in permanent loop

Hi, I’m fresh new Asterisk user. I successfully install Asterisk1.8 (using apt-get) and GUI using the SVN so, I think the newest one. When I try to open WEB interface on port 8088 the portal loops on login page. The user is correct, because when I make mistake it reports that incorrect username/password was entered.
Any suggestions where to look for detailed information what is going wrong during the login process? Is there a log to check or some thing else to check?

BR,
Greg

The Asterisk-GUI project is nearing full compatibility with 1.8. You may need to wait a few more weeks, svn up, and try again.

Cheers.

THX, but during this time is there any possibility to manage Asterisk? To handle all these files using only CLI is a little bit hardcore, isn’t it?

Cheers,
Greg

Hi,

You’ll find that it’s easier than you think.

Good luck. There is much documentation in the Asterisk book (www.asteriskdocs.org) and on the Wiki (wiki.asterisk.org).

Cheers.

Yupii, I solve it
The magic entry in “manager.conf” file according to user configuration HAVE TO BE LIKE this one:

read = system,call,log,verbose,command,agent,user,config,originate,read,write write = system,call,log,verbose,command,agent,user,config,originate,read,write

my previous entries were MUCH, MUCH shorter

Now GUI is working properly.

Topic can be closed.
Hope this help some else.

Thanks GUYS,
Greg
