FXS PCI cards

Hi, is there anywhere a list of PCI cards (modems ?!?) that I can use as FXS. I need them do connect my old phone to my computer where I’m running Asterisk. I won’t use it to make outgoing calls, yust for IP phone calls.

I know hat I can use Digium x100p, but can I use any other card?

Thank you!

the digium tdm cards. (See www.digium.com)

Thank you, I know for them. Do you know for any other cards?

Hi parcina,

From what I gather (from the documentation) there are a couple of cheap options available. First, digium used to make an S100U which was a USB device that offered an FXS port. Despite my best efforts I have been unable to find this for sale anywhere on the web.

Also, I believe that Quicknet Internet Phonejack cards can be used for their FXS capability. Again, I haven’t been able to find any place to buy these online either - not on eBay and Quicknet’s online store seems to be out of action.

Does anybody else know where CHEAP FXS interface cards can be obtained?

Regards
Dave Taylor

I am not aware of ANY PCI FXS cards other than Digiums TDM cards.

Your best bet is an ATA, or a media gateway, look at voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=ATA

With some multi-port devices, the cost per port comes close to $50.

I wish I could find something cheaper, but so far no luck.
