I’m trying to get voicemails to go out via email, the problem is that emails seem to fail no mater what when sent from the local host. I tried setting up EXIM4 to use smart host, but it turns out my mail server is POP only (SMTP is blocked).
Still new to Asterisk, so any help would be appreciated.
You can’t send mail by any means at all, as POP is purely a retrieval protocol. How do normal email clients end mail?
Wow, major brain fart on my part. I blame excessive memorial day drinking.
Looks like I use port 587 for SMTP. However I didn’t see anyplace in the exim configuration for specifying a port, or did I miss it?
