Hello,
I have just installed * on a Dell PIV PC with SuSE 9.3. Asterisk works: no errors - get the *cli> prompt.
I have uncommented output_device = default in alsa.conf (when I test asound D= default test.wav, I get sound) I have also set:
;noload => chan_alsa.so
noload => chan_oss.so
If I type “dial 1234” on the console (using the demo), I get:
*CLI> dial 1234
– Executing Playback(“ALSA/default”, “transfer|skip”) in new stack
– Executing Macro(“ALSA/default”, “stdexten|1234|Console/dsp”) in new stack
– Executing Dial(“ALSA/default”, “Console/dsp|20”) in new stack
Jul 7 13:47:34 NOTICE[940]: chan_alsa.c:767 alsa_request: Already have a call on the ALSA channel
Jul 7 13:47:34 NOTICE[940]: app_dial.c:746 dial_exec: Unable to create channel of type ‘Console’
Should I hear sound from the headphones? What test can I perform to hear sound using Playback???
No sound for dial 600 (echo test) either.
I have an intel AC 97 onboard sound device. ALSA is installed and configured properly
