Asterisk Version 1.2.10
Zaptel Version 1.4.0
Linux version 2.6.9-5.EL (bhcompile@decompose.build.redhat.com) (gcc version 3.4.3 20041212 (Red Hat 3.4.3-9.EL4)) #1 Wed Jan 5 19:22:18 EST 2005

I followed the zaptel installation guide at voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+ … stallation. I installed zaptel driver and i did modprobe zaptel, modprobe wcfxo, and run ztcfg -vvvv it executed without any error. I went to asterisk and did make && make install . When i see the /usr/lib/asterisk/modules chan_zap.so does not get compiled and i got make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/asterisk/asterisk-1.2.10/apps’
make: *** [subdirs] Error 1 error messages during the make process. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

i don’t think you can use Zaptel 1.4.0 with Asterisk 1.2 … as you seem to have found out :wink:

Now i have downloaded the zaptel-1.2.13 drivers. I got error at xpp. It didn’t compile chan_zap.so.

Thanks in advance.

the zaptel install doesn’t create chan_zap.so

there’s no point continuing with an Asterisk install if zaptel didn’t build if you need the zap channel driver. what was the error in the zaptel build ?

For the zaptel error on xpp do the following:

You need to edit /usr/src/zaptel/xpp/xpd.h and remove the line:
#if LINUX_VERSION_CODE != KERNEL_VERSION(2,6,9)

Then remove 1 of the “#endif” lines below it.

I got rectified the chan_zap.so. I am able to make call out but the incoming call to the number is not showing at asterisk twice it showed
