We use a number of Yealink phones with, some with sidecars, in our phone system, with each phone monitoring 10-20 others. In practice, the BLF keys are used as speed dial, while users leverage the BLF to see whether somebody is busy. This works brilliantly.
Second, there are a number of pickup groups. For the phones that calls can be picked up from, 2-3 phones are defined that can be used to do the pick up. We are using named pickup groups for this. This also works brilliantly: A phone rings, and on the other phones the call details appear with (provided by dialog-info) together with a soft key which performs the pickup.
Now here’s the problem: The call details appear on ANY phone that monitors the ringing phone with a BLF, regardless of whether this phone is actually in the pickup group and allowed to do the pickup. This has two drawbacks: First, for those phones not in the pickup group the pickup is denied (which is expected behaviour). The real problem is however that the call notifications appear on every phone that monitors another, so that practically every phone all the time displays and notifies any call any other phone is receiving. This is a showstopper.
So I would appreciate your advice. For example, is it possible to restrict the detailed dialog-info to be sent to only those phones in the pickup group?
Many thanks!
