Asterisk Now Installation on VM

Hey,
I am new to asterisk .I have downloaded AsteriskNow Package from Site and tried to install it on VM workstation.The linux setup started but then it halted at this stage

starting virtual Printing daemon done

I need to is it possible to setup AsteriskNow on VM
and is linux os necessary for asterisk

Yes. I don’t have any troubles installing it against VirtualBox. Are you using a current version?
Yes, Asterisk is an application that runs on top of Linux.
