*82, Revealing Caller ID

Due to the way our business works, we need to block our out-going callerid. Well, we probably don’t need to anymore, but with our old Mitel PBX, we did. Anyway, our outgoing callerid is blocked. That’s the short of it.

However, every once in a while, we’ll get a customer who blocks blocked numbers. *82 is supposed to take care of that, however, I have not been able to figure out how to get it to work through Asterisk.

Our setup is currently this: 30 SIP phones connected to Asterisk, which is connected to the PSTN via a TE110P card and an Arrival T1 PRI.

I’ve tried all sorts of things in my dial plan to try and pass the *82 to the Zaptel interface, and I just cannot figure it out.

So, if anyone could shed some light on this, I would GREATLY appreciate it. If you need any configs, let me know and I’ll post them.
