Zaptel or Meetme issue in Asterisk 1.4

Hello all,

I have just started using 1.4 version of asterisk, Insalled recent stable version of zaptel (1.4.2), libpri (1.4.0) and asterisk (1.4.4).

Install went fine and few basic functions worked and I started using Meetme but I had very strange situation.

  1. I installed above version of asterisk on AMD Sempron PC. Ubuntu Linux is installed on it. Loaded ztdummy.

When I call the meetme extension 2323

######################
exten => 2323, 1, Meetme(23,dM)
######################

System crashed…really strange situation and I had to do hard reboot and loged back to check if there is any error in logfile but I didn’t find any errors specific to zaptel or meetme.

For a moment I thought whether it is problem with AMD Sempron PC,

  1. so I got my laptop (Intel® Celeron® CPU 2.60GHz) ready and installed above mentioned 1.4 version of asterisk.

After the install started testing Meetme with ztdummy loaded, In this case system didn’t crash but Meetme didn’t work.

Please check the console output:

alex-laptop*CLI
– Executing [7077@internal:1] MeetMe(“SIP/7000-081d96d0”, “2233|Md”) in new stack

SIP/7000-081d96d0 7077@internal:1 Up MeetMe(2233|Md)

1 active call

;; show channels shows I am still at Meetme extension
alex-laptop*CLI> meetme
No active MeetMe conferences.

I am sure it is something to do with zaptel.

Any idea, suggestion or hints…?

Thanks in advance,
alex
