Why asterisk says bridged while ringing through gateway

Hi,
When dialing out through a gateway FXO, asterisk CLI says it is already bridged. Actually the other side is still ringing, no one has picked up the call.

Is this an issue of the gateway?

Yes. The gateway has answered the SIP call.
