Welcome to the Asterisk Community

Welcome to the new Asterisk Community!

We’ve moved!

Why? Because the old forums platform was long in the tooth, doesn’t translate well to non-desktop devices, and isn’t the easiest for you, the user, or for us, the administrators.

The accounts for the new community are integrated with the asterisk.org Crowd accounts, rather than the disconnected phpBB2 accounts that were formerly used. So, signups occur through http://signup.asterisk.org.

If you’ve got a Crowd account, you should be all set. If not, you’ll need to get one. What’s the benefit? It’s the same account you use for the Asterisk Issue Tracker (https://issues.asterisk.org) and Code Review (https://gerrit.asterisk.org) tools. So, it’ll simplify your life.

The old forums were locked down on Tuesday night, February 2, 2016, and were reopened here on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2016. The old forums will remain, with all of their lovely and useful content, in case you’ve made any bookmarks.

The new community carries over the “Asterisk General” and “Asterisk Support” categories. All other categories have been removed. Additionally, the “Biz” category as we know it today won’t be carried over. If you’re going to post a job offering for someone skilled in Asterisk, that’s, of course, welcome.

It’ll take us a bit to get badges and permissions worked out, so please bear with us.

Thank you for your attention, and if you’ve got any questions or comments, drop me a line on the new community.

Cheers,
Malcolm

Hey Malcolm,

this forum looks and feels so nice, so it makes me think, what technology is used behind the scenes? Something, that is available somewhere?
