Using Asterisk SIP Trunks in ICTBroadcast Voice Campaigns

We’re using Asterisk SIP trunks as the telephony layer for running outbound voice campaigns in ICTBroadcast.

In this model:

  • Asterisk handles SIP trunks, call setup, codec negotiation, and carrier connectivity

  • ICTBroadcast manages campaign logic such as dialing schedules, retries, pacing, call outcomes, and reporting

This separation keeps Asterisk focused on stable call delivery, while campaign control and automation are handled at the application layer. It works well for:

  • Bulk voice notifications and alerts

  • Scheduled outbound campaigns

  • Multi-tenant and service-provider environments
