Use of the RAM by Asterisk

Hi,

I am using Asterisk 1.2.7.1 and my Asterisk uses 36% of RAM at all time, even if there is no active calls.

One mounth ago, Asterisk used 27% of RAM.

Is this usage of the memory normal?
