How can one upload gsm files into Asterisk@Home 2.8 so it can be usable in the dialplan?
Copy your sound files in /var/lib/asterisk/sounds
I know that in Asterisk proper one can browse to the directory such as you mentioned above, where one can copy and paste the desired files. But how can one do the same in asterisk@home?
I have already copied sound files into var/lib/asterisk/sounds directory into Asterisk 1.2.9 on Fedora Core 4 as you mentioned above. But I need to know how I can accomplish the same thing in Asterisk@Home 2.8. Everything else has been configured perfectly, I just need to have my ready-made gsm files uploaded for use in my dialplan.
Hummm… I can’t tell with Asterisk@home because I never used it… But I guess it’s the same principle… I mean, the files will get played if they’re place in the right directory…
I don’t know, my guess will be to find the location of you gsm (find / -name ‘*.gsm’) and then copy the new ones over…
If you want them to show up in the drop menu…import into the mysql
I have a csv list of the stand custom gsm files found in asterisk if you need it.
