I am currently running Asterisk 11.6 which has been stable for a long time. I want to get up to a version that is not EOL. Is there a specific preferred upgrade path or specific version I should go to first to minimize potential problems? At this time I’m not looking for any new functionality.
read the 1. UPGRADE.txt - Documents any changes that you need to know about when moving between major versions. Especially changes that break backwards compatibility.
