Trouble routing inbound calls over JNCT (IAX2)

Ok I have 2 PSTN lines using ZAP trunks and 2 voip lines setup thru junctionnetworks.net. We are trying to move away from ZAP and use the IAX lines only. I have outgoing calls working using the IAX lines but its not much good to me if the person I’m calling can’t call me back on that same #. When calling the new numbers, I can see on the asterisk console that its doing something… it just says the number back to me and hangs up. The way I want it is for it to behave just like my ZAP trunks. I have all the trunks and everything setup thru the web portal and all that… what am I missing? I want to get rid of my PSTN lines and do all VOIP! so can someone fix my configs and repost? or is there something else im missing?

Running Asterisk 1.2.0 built by root @ asterisk1.local on a i686 running Linux CentOS

I have followed all these steps here and both lines are reporting as registered NOT rejected when I enter the command:

An NEVER dump POTS line keep one for when the INET is down

I have created my inbound routes but all it does is say the phone # back to me and dissconnect. What I want it to do is route it to my general greeting. I can see that the IAX2 line is getting to the aterisk system because i can watch it on the console… what do I need to do to make these IAX lines perform just like the ZAP lines?

what did you expect it to do ? it’s doing exactly what the context is setup to do.if you want it to follow the zap/pstn call path, use something like this :

don’t worry … everyone was new to it once. to my mind, contexts were the “hardest” concept to grasp with Asterisk. once you get that, the rest just falls into place.

if you’re interested in “playing”, don’t let A@H/Trixbox restrict your experiments, get stuck in and play … after you have a backup of /etc/asterisk :smiley:
