Can you transfer a call to an external number and free up your current line?

For example, client A calls Tier 2 support center. The call needs to be transferred to Tier 1 support center. Each support center is a different entity, each with their own call centers. Both have local numbers being used - not 800 numbers.

After the transfer who gets charged for the minutes used? Is it the person who originated the call? And is the Tier 2 trunk channel freed up for more calls incoming?

Nobody have any input on this?

This will depend on your lines. with Voip/ ISDN then yes its “possible”
