System Requirements to Run Asterisk

Hi,

I am new to Asterisk. I have a small requirement to develop an IVR with a few menus and a few prompts. I am planning to use a 30 line PRI line with digium card.

  1. Can you suggest me the hardware requirements.
    I am thinking of using a DellT100 Quad Core Xeon system to support my IVR.

  2. Does any one know weather Dell system supports AsteriskNow, since dell recomends use of Red Hat version.

  3. Will Linux system be able to use this machine(Dell T100) with Asterisk running on it.

  4. Can we go with some other smaller system configuration from any other vendor.
