Struggling to Initialize Dahdi USB Adapter

hi, friends, been spending lots of time on this one and some insight would be appreciated. got myself a Piranha USB-FXO adapter and have complied dahdi and its sources and it doesn’t seem to be properly recognized when running something like dahdi show channels. been trying different combination of entries in assigned-spans.conf but it doesn’t change the output following /etc/init.d/dahdi start

Loading DAHDI hardware modules:
   amf_usb: done
using '/etc/dahdi/assigned-spans.conf'
cut: /sys/bus/dahdi_devices/devices/amf_usb1-0/spantype: No such file or directory
Running dahdi_cfg: done.

from my fs:

  • /sys/bus/dahdi_devices/devices/amf_usb1-0/dahdi_spantype

from the dahdi init:

  • /sys/bus/dahdi_devices/devices/amf_usb1-0/spantype

on the good side, I do see output from running dahdi_scan:

[1]
active=yes
alarms=OK
description=AMF_USB_FXO 1
name=AMF_USB_FXO_1
manufacturer=Amfeltec
devicetype=Amfeltec USB device
location=USB bus
basechan=1
totchans=1
irq=0
type=analog
port=1,FXO

Asterisk 18.8.0; DAHDI Version: 3.1.0 Echo Canceller: MG2; amfeltec_usb_4.0.5

You should address this to the device manufacturer.
