[solved] Needed: ability to camp with Extenspy in a Queue

solution:

The version of 1.4 deployed was not compatible with the feature. Upgrade to 1.8 needed.

The client wants the ability to “camp” on an extension and listen in for when that line makes or receives a call.

In a queue environment, it just doesn’t seem to work properly.

When you envoke it without any argument it works, example agent 1000 is on the line:

Extenspy(,w) ; working, allows you to cycle and listen

Extenspy(1000,w) ; does nothing
Extenspy(sip/1000,w) ; does nothing
Extenspy(agent/1000,w) ; does nothing

How may the required functionality be accomplished? My poor fingers are tired from trial and error.

If you don’t want to get tired and you want to others make your work, You should move the thread to the JOBS forum. Many asterisk consultants can help you with a hour or fixed fee.

Mine is $30USD per hour if you are interested
