[SOLVED] Changing the Logo on Digium Phones

Greetings,

I have to change the logo on Digium phones from Asterisk to My company logo. Do i have to built custom app for it?
Could someone please help me out with it on where to start.?

Thanks

It depends on how you’ve configured the phone.

If you’ve done it via Switchvox, then it can be configured via the Switchvox Administrator in the admin portion of the Switchvox Web UI, or by the user in the user portion of the Switchvox Web UI.

If you’ve done it via DPMA, then it’s using the dXX_logo_file options, where XX represents the model number of the phone. https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/DIGIUM/DPMA+Configuration#DPMAConfiguration-PhoneConfigurationOptions

If you’ve done it via XML, then it’s using the logo_file setting. https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=36800183#XMLConfiguration2.2.1.1+-Preferences(IdleScreen)

If you’ve done it via the phone’s web UI (don’t use the phone’s web UI if you’re using another method of configuration and note that many/most of the phone’s options cannot be controlled via the web UI) then you’ll see a preference for it there.

so let’s say i have this configuration in res_digium_phone.conf:-

[network2]
type=network
alias=asteriskCH1 DPMA Network
cidr=0.0.0.0/0
registration_address=10.88.10.102
registration_port=5060
ntp_server=10.88.10.102
file_url_prefix=http://10.1.0.15/digiumphones
file_url_pefix=http:// then location of the image.
public_firmware_url_prefix=http://10.1.0.15/digiumphones

That is where i should put the location of the image. we have DPMA to push settings to our phone

Thanks
Ahmed

If the network attached to the phone has:

file_url_prefix=http://10.1.0.15/digiumphones

And the phone otherwise has, in the type=phone section, something like:

d60_logo_file=mylogo.png

Then the phone is going to try to cURL in:

http://10.1.0.15/digiumphones/mylogo.png

…provided the phone’s on that network at the time. Which, if it’s a 0.0.0.0/0 network, is a catchall, so should be fine unless you’ve got other, more specific and currently correct networks attached to the phone.

Cheers
