Softphone on the same machine Asterisk is installed

Has anybody done this?

I have done this but it is working only in one way. If somedbody can help me with this issue I would appreciated a lot.

What SoftPhone are you using, I had a problem like that, and when I changed the listen port from 5060 to 5061, it worked fine…

Hi.

That is exactly what the xlite softphone did. I was going in circle, until somebody said to me to install X-LITE softphone.
I gave it some directives to register the sip proxy and it automaticly selected the port 5061.

It is working okey.
