Can anyone point me to some info on how to test the SMDI interface. We have it all setup with the serial cable to a Taqua switch. We have Asterisk 1.4.20.1 and have the smdi.conf file set. There is a voicemail left for an extensions.
Should we see activity or messaging to and from the switch in the cli? How do we send test commands? How do we debug to even see if it is setup correct in the conf files?
When I run core show function SMDI_MSG_RETRIEVE and core show function SMDI_MSG it show that they are there.
Hello, I don’t think I have the information you want just yet. But I was hoping you could help me get to the point you are at and then maybe we can work together from there. We have a Lucent/Telica switch and I am trying to get the SMDI interface setup there. If you have any information on how to do this I would really appreciate it. Our Lucent send the SMDI via ip and I can’t seem to get it to go from IP to Serial. I am trying to use a Chase Research IOLAN+ but am not sure of the configuration. Thanks.
