I want to send an answer phone message to both mine and my wifes email addresses, possibly more. Can I add multiple email addresses to the mailbox setting in voicemail.conf?

you could use voicemail broadcasting (see voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+ … email.conf) and do it that way.
or setup an alias on your mail server that sends the message to multiple recipients.
the latter is what i did. very easy to set up.
Or in voicemail.conf set up a mailbox for second person. Then in extensions.conf add the second mailbox to the Voicemail(mailbox1&mailbox2)
