Ringall Strategy, Agents are getting same phone numbers1

Hello;
Please I need your help!!

I have two asterisk servers;
Server A & Server B.
I created SIP between the two servers(Virtual trunk).

Server A is connected to the E1 from the provider.
Server B is the one call arrives and the agents picked up the calls.

The issue is holding me is:

  • my queues.conf, I have Ringall Strategy.
    forexample: I have 20 agents, when call arrives to the softphone,It will ring all the agents, may be 1 agents will answered, but all the other agents it will be no sound and it will not disconnect automatically since call is answered somewhere else. Unless manually disconnect .

Note: If i use rrmemory it will be fine. why???

  3. You say “it will ring all the agents, maybe 1 agent will answer, but all
    the other agents will have no sound”. Why would you expect any agent other
    than the one who answered to have sound?

  5. Please provide the appropriate section from queues.conf to show how this
    queue is configured.

If we are talking SIP, the response that indicates answered elsewhere is a SIP final response and WILL disconnect the call from the phone. If the phone is not disconnecting, but is displaying “answered elsewhere”, that is a problem with the phone.

    I mean if use ring all, some agents will get Duplicate numbers (fake numbers no sound) unless they manually disconnect. But rrmemory and other strategies will be fine. |

I should have said that Asterisk sends cancel, not a final response.

I have no idea what you mean by “fake numbers”.

Asterisk definitely does cancel the other outgoing legs; there would be a lot more complaints if it didn’t.
