good day! just would like to ask a simple question. what does the red alarm mean when i run zttool? does that mean my te411p is just idle or does it have to be configured properly and does it light up yellow like the TDM cards when configured properly? thanks to those who’ll reply!

It’s a ‘loss of signal’ alarm.
Red alarms associated with T1/E1’s mean that the card doesn’t see T1/E1 circuit attached to it.
If you have a good tested working circuit and you plug it in to your Asterisk box and get a RED alarm, that generally means that you need a crossover cable to connect the card to your circuit.
