Rasberry Pi 3 - Install Asterisk 14.2.1

Hello,

I am new to the community so hopefully I am posting in the right place. I did a quick search for information on installing Asterisk on my Raspberry Pi 3 - I am new to both Linux and the Raspberry Pi.

Does anyone know whether the latest version of Asterisk 14.2.1 will install on the Rasbery Pi 3 installed with Raspbian 8.0 (jessie)

Thanks

Harry

I’m running the latest asterisk 13 PJSIP realtime on raspberry pi 2 at home without any problem. You should not have any problem installing asterisk 14.

This link should get you going: http://blog.pztop.com/2016/11/01/Asterisk13-on-RaspberryPi3/

Hi phonefxg - thanks for the reply. I will give it a go. Are you running Raspbian on your Pi 2? Also what is PJSIP?

Regards,

Harry

I’m running Jessie,PJSIP is a channel driver.

Understand! Thanks for the info, appreciate it.

YES … Raspberry 3 and 2 works fine with Asterisk 13 ( PJSIP ) and UBUNTU 14 ,
but i have one Problem with UBUNTU 16 and ODBC Driver for MySQL.

Great thanks - can you install other channel drivers in Pi? I was interested in the mobile one (the Rasberry Pi 3 has a Bluetooth module!)

what for channel Driver you mine ?
me Asterisk 13 works with PJSIP and DAHDI ( for SLA ) and SPANDSP for FAX on UBUNTU 14 ( JESSI ) !

I saw this channel driver - I was going to look into it more: https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Mobile+Channel

sorry … my Asterisk running in one Cloud - i have no example for Mobile Channels.

Raspberry Pi’s are real hardware, so they cannot run in the cloud.

ok thank you for the information, I may post another topic later on the mobile channel driver.
