Queue ring all announccement call was already answered by onther party

hi

we have a queue set to ring all strategy
it call external agents
which gets them some what annoyed when they answer a empty call because it was already answered by other agent

is there a way to get a message to agents in empty call the call was answered by other party

Check out the membergosub option in queues.conf - maybe from inside the gosub context you could push an URL to the other queue members that displays “sorry call was answered elsewhere.”

Anything done in the signaling channel will be subject to race conditions. However, if doing that, and the device and channel technology support it, using the C option in queue might be simpler.

Other than the normal presentation of dial tone, I can’t think of any easy way of doing it in the speech channel.
