Php or perl

Hi :
I’ve worked with asterisk for a few years and now I’d like to start writing of scripts for asterisk but I don’t know php and perl there for I want to learn one of them.Which one do you suggest me for the applications of asterisk?php or perl?
I’d appreciate any help.

As far as AGI goes. You can use just about any language. I have just finished one in ruby that works great.

I personally like perl. At the end of the day it’s more what you like. Go read up on some forumas about perl vs. php and see which one works better for you.
