AGI, which language?

Hi,

All manuals tell me that you could write agi-scripts in virually any language. but that does not tell me what the ‘industry standard’ is, nor what the advantages and disadvantages of each languages are.

A logical response would be ‘go with the language you are most familiar with’… well… uh… I’ve done VB, JavaScript, various versions of SQL, CF… but none of these seem to be used much here.

So I need to choose which language to adopt. And some advice might be welcome.

I use php and the nice phpagi class, which lets you write agi scripts in a simple and “objective” way.
