Is it possible to build a phone line simulator using Asterisk and SIP devices like Sipura 1000s?
I’m interested in creating a private telephone network using POTS lines but with all the same signalling used on the public network. My primary goal is to test analog modem communication software with multiple remote systems without having to purchase and maintain several public phone lines or expensive call simulators. Since the remote systems also use custom software most of the call simulators would not help.
