Hi,
In my Company consist of panasonic PBX and Airtel (Service provider in India). Can we make communication platform for VOIP and PSTN by using asterisk framework? Which are components are needed for making inbound and outbound calls by using Asterisk JTAPI ?
Hi, sulfi
I m goh.
I also wish to know the info related to Panasonic PABX peering with asterisk FreePBX, which I currently facing on Panasonic NS300 hybrid unit.
TQ.
For peering you need to verify which protocol is compatible with the Panasonic PBX and Asterisk, SIP would be the ideal, but if this is not the case can also try using Digital Card for a T1 connction.
Hi, ambiorixg12
TQ for the info.
As I knew NS300 support the SIP Peering Protocol by utilise the KX-NS5110 DSP Card.
Is this refer to the Digital Card for a T1 connection u mentioned above?
TQ.
If you’re going to use SIP just need to make sure you have TCP./IP connection between remote peers, plus the SIP configuration on each peer.
Hi, ambiorixg12
TQ for update. Cheers.
I suggest you pick up a CHEAP T1 card (or buy one with a great return policy) before you invest to much in that approach. Some manufacturers use information elements (IE) that the T1 driver on the Asterisk host will not understand, and you will not be able to make a successful T1 connection. Yes physically they will connect, but either you won’t be able to establish a connection or it will regularly drop when the far end uses an IE that chokes the T1 driver on the Asterisk box. (It’s not an Asterisk problem, is a T1 driver problem).
We spent days working with a Nortel consultant, and a T1 card support group, only to give up after many thousands of dollars spent. You might get lucky…but don’t think that T1 is a simple plug and play standard.
Google “T1 E1 Invalid information element” and you can see some of the challenges.
Hi, @watchapps
TQ for the update.
Instead of using T1 Card as mentioned, is it possible to replace using a gateway router, like Grandstream VOIP gateway or yeastar BRI VoIP Gateway?
Are these compatible with NS300?
