I have a Panasonic IP PBX in a remote location and I want to link Asterisk to it so that I can call an extension in that remote location. Is that possible?
Should be possible. Asterisk definitly supports SIP trunking, I am not too sure about the Panasonic capabilitys.
You can also use H.323 if you have IP-GW module in your Panasonic PBX
It depends on your Panasonic PBX model . in TDE and TDA series you can trunk your asterisk server to PBX through SIP trunk .
iyou have another solution as well to connect your remote panasonic to one voipgateway through E1 trunk and then register your gateway in asterisk through sip
