Not able to install asterisknow 32 bit 5.211.65-18 on vmware

Hi All,

This is my first installation where I am trying to install Asterisknow 5.211.65-18 on VMware workstation 8.
I had downloaded the iso image of Asterisknow 5.211.65-18 from “http://asterisk.org/downloads”

post that when i am installing through VMware I am getting following error:

EDD: Error 8000 reading sector 462459
No DEFAULT or UI configuration directive found!

where after googling i got the solution as changing the isolinux to syslinux for 3 places inside the isoimage. but my problem is that i am not able to edit the iso image. i tried with couple of iso editor application but didn’t helped.
and i don’t think there is problem with the iso image because while updaint the imate it might have gonethrough different steps of tests. so i am not saying any thing to image but want to get out of this issue.

kindly help me to continue the installation.

AsteriskNow is a dead product. I would recommend using some other distro. If your heart is set on a WebGUI, use Elastix, PBX in a Flash, etc.

I don’t believe AsteriskNOW is dead and it is not a WebGUI - it uses FreePBX for that.

There is, however, a specific forum for AsteriskNOW installation problems,
