Newbie: Does IAXy support caller id WITH NAME?

The spec says it supports caller id, but nowhere on the net could I find anything one way or the other whether it supports “caller id with name”. I’d just like to know before I spend the $100.

Also, I just want to double check whether the IAXy is a good choice for someone who wants to replace his home phone PSTN provider (1 line) with VoIP (I already got Asterisk installed on a PC).

Yes it support CallerID name. Search on the Wiki for the difference betwwen an FXO and FXS so make sure you understand what they are used for.
