Hello everybody,

I’m a new user of asterisk platform.

I recently red a document mentionning that the function MeetMe is functionning only if you have Zaptel cards installed.

Is that true?

Does this mean that we cannot organise conferences with only sip participants?

It needs a timing source provided by Zaptel. You can substitue ztdummy if you don’t have a card or better yet, install a cheap card, even if you don’t use it so that you have a hardware timing source.

you might also consider looking at app_conference, as it doesn’t require a timing source and is supposed to be fairly robust.

i have yet to play with it, but will be looking at implementing it on our dialer box as the newer versions of vicidial support it.
