IVR Question


I am totally new to Asterisk. I would like to know say if I want to make use of IVR facility of Asterisk do I need to purchase any hardward from you , or is IVR totally software based?


You can build it in your dialplan (it’s software based), it’s very simple and you can put it available on your LAN.
If you plan to put this IVR connected to the PSTN you will need hardware like a telephony card.

As already said it is software based, and, in any case, the open source software users don’t sell hardware, although DIgium do.
