Issue with Making Outbound Calls via PatriotSystems Integration with Asterisk AMI

I am writing to discuss an issue encountered during the integration of our Grandstream PBX (based on Asterisk) with Patriotsystems using the Asterisk Management Interface (AMI).

Initially, I successfully configured the AMI through our Grandstream PBX, granting full access as shown in the attached photo. Following this, I proceeded to set up the AMI on Patriotsystems, which boasts full integration capabilities with Asterisk. However, during the setup process, I encountered difficulties accessing and editing the asterisk manager_custom.conf file, as instructed in the documentation (link: Auto Dialler | Patriot Library).

Upon completing the setup, we successfully receive incoming calls into Patriotsystems. However, the issue arises when attempting to make outbound calls through Patriotsystems. Despite confirming the AMI’s functionality with a successful outbound call via TELNET, attempts through Patriotsystems have been unsuccessful. Attached are screenshots depicting the TELNET test and the configuration setup of Asterisk AMI on Patriotsystems for your reference.

Could you please review the setup and advise on any necessary adjustments or configurations required to facilitate outbound calling through Patriotsystems via Asterisk AMI? Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums!

The first thing that jumps out is the AMI port of 7777 – the standard is 5038.

The second thing that jumps out is that you are interfacing two separate commercial systems that both talk the Asterisk Management Interface.

Have you tried asking the (commercial) support at Patriot Systems ? If so, please do post back the answer here, as it may be useful to another user in the future.

You might also consider posting the text of your TELNET session here.

Another network-level debug approach when dealing with closed, black-box systems is to mirror your local network switch port and connect a separate Ethernet cable from your PC to capture all the communications between these two devices.
