I downloaded the complete Linux distro (AsteriskNOW-1013-current-32.iso) and began to install it on an Oracle virtual machine. Unfortunately, it stopped at the package 450 - (Asterisk PBX Web Interface) and hanged up. The same happened when I chose different install options (e.g. No RAID), I wanted to test Asterisk with SIP phones running on other virtual machines.
It may be your virtual machine software is incompatible with the AsteriskNow ISO.
Have you tried the 64 bit install vs the 32bit image you downloaded?
