Initiate call

Hello!

Is this possible with asterisk?

I have a hardware SIP phone connected to an asterisk box.
The phone is set to auto answer.
The asterisk box is connected to PSTN.

IP-phone (with a SIP-account) ------ asterisk box ----- PSTN

I would like to initiate an outgoing call from my IP-phone to PSTN without having to touch the phone.

Too vague the question but yes you can with:

– a script.
– a cronjob.
– a webpage.
– a button.
– an app in your cellphone.
– with a whistle… and so on.

But usually we use the phone and at least one key to do that
