Incoming Calls continue to ring on calling end

Hello,

I just installed latest Distro of FreePBX with Asterisk and outbound call are working fine but I am having an issue with incoming calls. When a called is placed from a cell phone etc. it is routed properly to the extension I configured in the inbound route but the caller still hears it ringing and another call will come on on the Asterisk extension.

So I end up with 2 calls ringing on the Asterisk extension when only 1 call was placed. I have tried this with 2 different SIP providers. Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

I don’t think one can address this without knowing the FreePBX dialplan. They people who know that are on freepbx.org/forums.

Also I am not clear whether you mean an Asterisk extension or an Asterisk device (called an extension by FreePBX).
