Inbound Calls to different ports?

Hi

I’m a bit of a noob at this Asterisk software. It’s all configured and working great except that I want to now put in additional phone lines on the other ports so that I can direct the incoming calls to particular extentions.

The PCI card is a 4 port TDM400P - can someone point me in the right direction? I have been trawling around looking fo info but I can’t seem to find the info I need. How do I configure additional ports on the card?

From configs/chan_dahdi.conf.sample (Asterisk 1.6.1.0):

Thanks for your reply. I am however a new user to asterisk and what you posted doesn’t make much sense to me so further guidance would be appreciated.

Basically I want to plug in a new PSTN line into the 4 port card and use this line to add in another phone number which would then route to a particular extension.

If you don’t understand contexts and are using FXO/S cards but don’t understand how to configure channels on them separately, you haven’t done enough background reading yet. (Note I don’t have analogue hardware for Asterisk, so I couldn’t verify any detailed instructions, anyway.)

Yes, I’m in at the deep end with an already configured Asterisk server, so yes further reading is required, thanks for the input anyway.
