I do not get it, isn`t directory suppose to announc the name

Basically, from what i have read, directory is supposed to give me the option to annouce the names.

what i am trying to reach, then when one will enter the IVR and press 5, for instance, it will forward him to Directory, which there the names and extensions of all people(Developers) will be announced.

is such thing possible?

The directory app depends on the voicemail app (at least the voicemail.conf file) in order to be able to present names.
