I have asterisk installed in Redhat Enterprise linux 3 server. I want to take backup of asterisk server completely and how to restore it in a short time.

Hi,
you can use Norton Ghost 8 or higher(from CD or Floppy) with ext2 partitions. I have had success in “backuping” a system with Ubuntu, thus it should work with RH too.
For 3GB of space used it should take 25 minutes to bakcup and 15 to restore (P4 3Ghz ATA 7200rpm).

You can use the G4l distro to backup the entire system.
Used it many times with trixbox systems and NAS and was able to recover entire configured system within 30mins.
